Driver Training is offered at your premises, for 5 or more drivers, to cover the following:
1. Basic operation of Refrigeration Units
2. Loading Procedures
3. Start up procedures in diesel and electric operation
4. Thermostat setting for Temperature Control
Basic Technical Training is offered at Refrigerated Transport Services workshop for your Workshop staff to cover the following Areas:
1. Basic fault training
2. Refrigeration Circuit
3. Defrost Circuit
4. Pre-trip inspections
As a precautionary measure a Technician will be sent to workshops twice weekly, on a pre-arranged date, to carry out basic unit checks (i.e belts, oil and water) at an arranged rate.
Time between services can vary between two and five months depending on the application and usage of the various refrigerated vehicles.
Refrigerated Transport Services will keep an in-depth record of all services and repairs carried out on your fleet of cooling units. From this record we can work closely with your workshop for future planning of servicing and maintenance of Units. Service intervals depend on the make and model of the unit. We advise a 500 hour Service interval on Thermo-King Units, 400 hour Service interval on Carrier Units and a 300 hour Service interval on Transfrig Units. This type of service would be classed as a “B” Service. A major or “A” Service Can be planned every 5000 hours if required by the Customer.

We have five service vehicles available 24 hours per day for servicing and repairs on site. Parts required during repairs are stocked on board the service vehicles so as to decrease the down time of your vehicle and preventing deterioration of the product. We endeavour to complete as many repairs at the Customers Site as possible.
We have service contracts tailored to the customers' needs.
Refrigerated Transport Services are an authorised agent for Transfrig and can carry out any Warranty Repairs and Validations on their behalf.
